Bundle Boxes and Car Wars Sixth Edition News
over 4 years ago
– Tue, Sep 17, 2019 at 01:27:43 AM
We have the tooling samples of the seven bundle boxes. These packs are how we're organizing the rewards to accelerate fulfillment; if you're receiving all of the Ogre rewards, for example, you'll get the Ogre box that is going to be pre-packed at the factory. These boxes will be packed into other boxes, but please remember these are only mailer boxes that exist to add more protection to the titles and to make fulfillment flow faster. These are not display boxes. Where necessary, extra packing materials will be added inside these boxes to secure items and help protect them as they make their journey from the factory to your hands.
Car Wars Sixth Edition Pricing
For those of you who are waiting for the new edition of Car Wars, we shared estimated pricing in yesterday's Daily Illuminator post. These are estimates only and may change before the project launches on Kickstarter.
We will have more information on the project over the next few months, including an estimated schedule for the Kickstarter campaign.

Schedule and Awful Green Things, Raid on Iran, and GEV Assembly Videos

At the moment, the best estimate we have for the project is that assembly will complete in mid-October. We'll know a lot more about the exact schedule by the end of this month, so for now enjoy this look at three more assembly guides.
Bag? Why is there an extra bag? Because we thought everyone would like a slight bit of assistance when it comes to storing counters. Those of you who supported the Bag of Bags campaign may already be set when it comes to zipper bags, though.

Car Wars, Ogre, and Undead Assembly Video

Another peek at the assembly process. We've now reviewed and approved 13 videos; the Truck Stop video highlighted a missing component that we'll now take care of so that the finished Truck Stop boxes are complete. These videos have been a fantastic way to review and approve the assembly plan for each of the Pocket Box titles, and we hope that you're enjoying this look at the process.

Battlesuit Assembly Video!!!

As part of preparing for final manufacturing and assembly, we've started receiving videos for review and approval. I am at the GPI office today, going over everything with David and Jason, and here's one example of our day: Checking the Battlesuit video so that the factory can proceed.
Things are looking fantastic! These near-identical reproductions of the originals are better than I had ever hoped for when we first discussed this Pocket Box project with the factory in 2018.

Important News: Manufacturing Has Started!!!
– Thu, Sep 05, 2019 at 01:19:39 AM
Important news from the factory: The manufacturing stage for the printed components has officially started! The cover stickers, counters, maps, booklets, and other printed goods are in process at the factory and the entire project has taken a big step forward.
As we have stated, the Pocket Box campaign is running behind. Late is better than rushed, though, and we're happy to report that giving the factory extra time at the scanning and tooling stage was well worth it. The final games and expansions will look much, much better than they would have if we had told them "go faster."
For those of you who enjoy GURPS, you will want to take a look at the Dungeon Fantasy Magic Items 2Kickstarter campaign that closes in a few days. This is an expansion for the Dungeon Fantasy Roleplaying Game, and it is a great tool for those GMs who are running fantasy adventures.
